Okay... this is a re-submission of an old painting. I did this over agian, in PS this time, and figured I'd post it up. I added a background as well (image courtesy of *Verwildert, mein schwester). It's not a stock image, but since we're on the same computer, I have special access to her photos. :stab:
The brush used to make the coat-of-arms thingishness on the buttons is a brush from =Scully7491
The signature is by ~lordkage, he made it just for me :3
Sooo yeah. Um, PLEASE critique it thoroughly. I know the jacket is rather plain, and overall it's not the most dynamic of things. Tell me what you think, what's missing, what's not emphasized enough, etc. This is my first real CG submission, so I'm dying to know what I can do to improve more!
And yes, his eyes are supposed to be all blue.
Sorry for submitting so much stuff lately ^^;

wow, thats amazing!
the only thing i can say is the borderline from the guy and the bacround seems a bit gamelike... try blurring it out or something.
but i apsolutly love it!

Somewhat..? Hahaha... I was thinking about a song when I first painted it, "Weltwinternacht", and it ended up going into the title. Even though he looks more like a Swede in Russian attire or something. Whatever. ^^

This is really nice! I like the title ^_^ haha But overall I really like the overall composition and agree with the suggestion about the background and foreground! But yay!

I like the coat, it is "dynamic" the red contrasts with the super light blue of the background and that little thing on his shoulder is nifty contrast.

However, you did want advanced critique, dont his shoulders seem a little bit... rigid. Not the shape, just the position, it looks kinda like he doesnt have a neck (but that could be the scarf talking).
